My wife Sarah had brought her mother's 'high Nelly' bicycle to the border town of Inniskeen in County Monaghan for a bicycle repair day. This was the home of the poet Patrick Kavanagh, and a centre exists in Inniskeen dedicated to his work. This fine gentleman had also brought his bicycle. The power lines and wooden poles in the background were part of the first Shannon cross-country electrifiction network. The building was a disused Church of Ireland church.
